4-22-2011 Evans Fire Annual Pancake Breakfast
This years annual pancake breakfast will be held May 7th, 2011 from 0600 to 1000 at Evans Fire Station 1. Fire Station 1 is located at 3918 Denver Street in Evans. Please come join us for all you can eat eggs, bacon, sausage and of course pancakes. Coffee and juice will also be provided. Tickets may be purchased prior to the breakfast or the day of. Tickets are $5.00 for adults and $2.00 for children. Call Station 2 at (970) 339-3920 or contact any Evans firefighter if you would like to purchase tickets. All donations gathered will go to the Evans Fire Safety and Assistance Fund. For more information about the fund please see the provided link = http://www.cityofevans.org/department.cfm?depID=6. Fire trucks as well as ResQ the clown will be present to interact with children!! Hope to see you all there!!!

09-13-2010 Denver 9-11 Memorial Stair Climb
This past saturday firefighters Cody Hanson, Malcolm Paris, John Davis, Brad Kreihbal, Malcolm Paris, Brandon Belfiore, Carlos Meza and Dan Bass participated in the annual Stair climb memorial in rememberance of those firefighters who were lost on 9-11. 343 firefighters were lost that day and they will never be forgotten. Participants climbed the downtown Denver Qwest building twice in full PPE. They climbed 110 stories in all, the same amount of floors as at the world trade center towers. WE WILL NEVER FORGET!!
7-31-10 Doug Melby's Years of Service Celebration
On July 31st, 2010 a celebration was held in honor of Doug Melby, former Fire Marshall for the City of Evans, Colorado. Doug served the City of Evans for 44 years.
Doug was presented with a memorial axe for his service and was also presented with Old Evans Engine 1 as a gift for his Compassion, Dedication and Excellence. The Evans fire family would like to thank Doug for all of his hard work through the years!! Congrats Doug!!!
6-8-10 Evans Fire and Greeley Fire complete joint Fire Training
On May 24th, June 1st and 3rd Mutual aid training was conducted between the Evans FIre Department and The Greeley Fire Department. The training covered fire supression and was held at the Evans training facility. Multiple scenarios were completed and great discussion was had. Mutual aid training is conducted in order to better serve our citizens in Evans in a time of need. Thanks to Greeley Fire for participating.
5-27-10 Repel training with the Poudre River Young Marines
On the warmest saturday of the year, the Poudre River Young Marines joined Evans Fire for a day of Repel training at the City of Evans Fire Training Facility.
The Poudre River Young Marines learned to repel as well as how to make a harness out of a piece of webbing. A great time was had by all. Thanks to all who participated in a great day of training!
5-21-10 Evans Fire to Recieve 2 Assistance to Firefighters Grants
In 2008 the Evans Fire Department applied for 2 grants through the FEMA 2009 Assistance to Firefighters program. Evans fire department will recieve money to purchase a Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) Extractor and Dryer as well as PPE lockers for firefighters to keep their individual gear. The grant also provides proper funds for an initial round of firefighter Fitness and Medical exams for all personnel. Thank you to Travis Guthrie (Firefighter Fitness), Brandon Belfiore (PPE) and Chief Warren Jones for all of their hard work on this project.

01-27-2010 ESCI Master Plan for the City of Evans Fire     Department Completed
In 2009 the City of Evans Fire department along with Emergency Services Consulting International began work on a Master Plan for the future growth of the department. After months of interviews and research, the plan was completed. This plan is a very valuable tool that will help the City of Evans Fire Department continue to grow.
