Emergency Preparedness

Presently, three emergency sirens are maintained by the city for use notifying our citizens in the event of an emergency. Typically these sirens are tested once a year. Prior to these tests, a notice will be placed in the Greeley Tribune.

Citizens are advised to know what to do in case of an emergency.

  • Keep a three day supply of food and water on hand
  • Keep extra personal hygiene and prescription supplies on hand
  • It is recommended that every household develop and practice an exit from the home drill
  • All participants should know several ways out of their residence and report to a prearranged family gathering location.

Persons wishing assistance with developing their plan may call the Fire Department for assistance at 339-3920.
